Recognition of prior learning assessment recognises your skills and knowledge, no matter how, when or where your learning occurred. Recognition of prior learning could provide you with a full or part qualification. It could also be used to identify what training you may need to complete a qualification

Recognition may be given for:

• Work skills and knowledge
• Paid or unpaid work experience
• Life experience
• Community work experience

The RPL process suits people who are skilled and need to gain formal recognition of their abilities and become qualified. You will need to provide evidence to an assessor that your skills meet today's industry standards.

Evidence could include:

• Work Samples
• Practical demonstrations in the workplace
• Assessment interviews
• References and support from your supervisors or others in your community
